Meet me!
I was born and raised in Spain until the age of 11 when my family and I moved to California. I received my undergrad in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside.
I have experience working with adults with chronic, severe, and persistent mental illnesses, and my internships include working individually and within an intensive outpatient group setting treating OCD as well as intimate partner violence and recovery.
I am comfortable working with anxiety, depression, interpersonal and family issues, self-esteem, most mood disorders, trauma, past abuse, school and work issues, health and pain issues, and low to medium level OCD (unfortunately I do not specialize in Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, such as skin picking, pica, etc). I am not able to work with anyone with active homicidal and/or suicidal ideation in order to maintain my client's safety and well-being, and I do ask that those living with mood disorders consider engaging with medical management to better manage their needs. Due to the complexity and nuances of each individual and the diagnoses, there may be times when my scope is not a good fit, or my ability to provide resources just isn't enough. If this is the case, I will provide alternate referrals and help you transfer to other care.
I enjoy working with folks from all walks of life (cultures, ethnicities, orientations, secular and LGBTQAI+),14 and up, and welcome Spanish speakers.
